**Jeddah, Saudi Arabia –** The IPL 2025 Mega Auction concluded its second day with a flurry of record-breaking bids. Rishabh Pant was sold to the Lucknow Super Giants for a staggering ₹27 crore, making him the most expensive player in IPL history, surpassing the ₹26.75 crore paid for Shreyas Iyer by Punjab Kings earlier in the auction.
The two-day auction, held in Jeddah, saw 493 players vying for 132 spots across ten teams. Royal Challengers Bangalore entered day two with the largest purse (₹30.65 crore), while Sunrisers Hyderabad had the least (₹5.15 crore).
