**Abu Dhabi, UAE –** Carlos Sainz Jr. will join the Williams Racing team for Formula 1’s post-season test in Abu Dhabi on December 10th, the team announced Friday. This marks Sainz’s first outing with Williams, his new team after leaving Ferrari at the end of the season to make way for Lewis Hamilton.
The test at Yas Marina Circuit will allow Sainz to begin familiarizing himself with the FW46 car and the Williams team before the official pre-season testing in Bahrain begins in late February. Hamilton, meanwhile, will not be testing for Ferrari in Abu Dhabi due to prior commitments with Mercedes. The final race of the 2024 season takes place on December 8th. Williams described the test as a valuable opportunity to build the relationship between Sainz and the team.
