PERTH, AUSTRALIA – Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant, who miraculously survived a serious car accident in December 2022, has shown his gratitude to the two men who rescued him. Pant’s car crashed near Roorkee, Uttarakhand, resulting in a fire. He escaped the burning vehicle with the help of Rajat and Nishu, who pulled him to safety.

As a token of his appreciation, Pant recently gifted Rajat and Nishu a scooter, a fact that was revealed by a journalist and subsequently went viral on social media. A video shows the journalist, Bharat Sundarseen, interviewing the two men, and the scooter is visibly marked with Pant’s name.

Pant’s accident sidelined him from cricket for nearly 18 months. His remarkable recovery led to a successful return to the Indian Premier League (IPL) with Delhi Capitals in 2024, and subsequently a spot on the 2024 T20 World Cup team. Currently, he is playing in the first Test match against Australia in Perth, where he scored 37 runs in the first innings despite challenging bowling conditions. With Delhi Capitals releasing him, Pant is expected to be a highly sought-after player in the upcoming IPL mega auction on November 24th.
