**Bangalore, India** – Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has begun its preparations for IPL 2025, retaining three key players and making significant acquisitions in the initial stages of the player auction. The team retained Virat Kohli (₹21 crore), Rajat Patidar (₹11 crore), and Yash Dayal (₹5 crore), costing them a total of ₹37 crore. This leaves them with ₹83 crore for the remaining auction. Liam Livingstone was among the first players secured by RCB. In total, six players were purchased on the first day of the auction.

The retention of these three players comes after the release of a significant number of players including former captain Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and several others. The team now has 22 spots remaining to fill in the auction. The early acquisitions indicate a strategic approach by RCB to build a strong squad for the upcoming season.
