**Moscow, Russia – November 24, 2024** – Iran has formally protested to Russia over the violent arrest of two Iranian students in Kazan, Russia. According to Iranian state media, the students were brutally beaten by police while visiting a visa extension center at Kazan Federal University on Friday.

The Iranian consulate in Kazan described the treatment as “inhumane and unprofessional,” prompting a formal protest note to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
