**Jeddah, Saudi Arabia** – The first day of the highly anticipated IPL 2025 mega auction concluded in Jeddah on Sunday, with several big-name players finding new homes for hefty sums. While 577 players were initially listed, only the first 84 were auctioned off on Day 1 at the Abadi Al Johar Arena.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore emerged as early frontrunners, securing the services of wicket-keepers Phil Salt (Rs 11.50 crore) and Jitesh Sharma (Rs 11 crore), and bowler Josh Hazlewood (Rs 12.50 crore). Other notable acquisitions included Ishan Kishan (Rs 11.40 crore) by SunRisers Hyderabad and Jofra Archer (Rs 12.50 crore) returning to the Rajasthan Royals. Kolkata Knight Riders also made significant signings, picking up Quinton de Kock (Rs 3.60 crore) and Anrich Nortje (Rs 6.50 crore).

However, several high-profile players remained unsold on Day 1, including Devdutt Padikkal, David Warner, and Jonny Bairstow, all with a base price of Rs 2 crore.
