Sun Nov 24 04:34:31 UTC 2024: ## IPL 2025 Mega Auction to be Held in Jeddah
**Jeddah, Saudi Arabia –** The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24th and 25th at the Abbadi Al-Jouhar Arena. This marks the second time the auction will be held outside India, following a previous event in Dubai.
A total of 577 players will be vying for spots across the 10 IPL teams, with each franchise having the opportunity to fill up to 25 spots on their roster (minimum 18). Following the retention of 46 players on October 31st, 2024, 201 spots remain open.
High-profile players like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami, Glenn Maxwell, Jos Buttler, and Ben Stokes are expected to participate. Teams have varying amounts of money at their disposal, with Punjab Kings holding the highest purse of ₹110.5 crore and Rajasthan Royals the lowest at ₹41 crore.
While most teams have the “Right to Match” (RTM) card option, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals do not, having retained the maximum six players allowed. Mumbai Indians can only use their RTM on one player not already in the auction due to already retaining five capped players.
The auction will be televised live on Star Sports Network and streamed on Jio Cinema, starting at 3:30 PM IST each day. The event promises to be a thrilling spectacle as teams look to build their squads for the upcoming IPL season. The auction will include a strong contingent of international players (195) and Indian players (48).
