**Hyderabad, India** – Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have secured the services of five key players ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, committing ₹75 crore to retain the core of their 2024 finalists team. The retained players include captain Pat Cummins (₹18 crore), explosive batsman Heinrich Klaasen (₹23 crore), and the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma (₹14 crore) and Travis Head (₹14 crore). All-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy completes the list, retained for ₹6 crore.

SRH reached the IPL 2024 final under Cummins’ leadership, ultimately losing to the Kolkata Knight Riders. The franchise is banking on the retained players, particularly Klaasen, who scored 479 runs at a remarkable strike rate of 171.07 last season, to lead their charge in 2025. The opening combination of Head and Sharma also contributed significantly, accumulating over 1000 runs between them.

With ₹45 crore remaining in their purse, SRH will enter the mega auction aiming to fill remaining gaps in their squad and build on their strong 2024 performance. The franchise is seeking its second IPL title, having previously won in 2016. All eyes will be on SRH’s auction strategy as they look to further strengthen their lineup and challenge for the 2025 championship.
