**New Delhi, [Date]** – A wave of contrasting results swept across India’s political landscape Saturday as state assembly election results were announced. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti alliance achieved a resounding victory in Maharashtra, securing 235 out of 288 seats. The BJP alone won 132 seats, fueling speculation that Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be appointed Chief Minister for a third term. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attributed the win to the alliance’s unity, stating that it sent a strong message to the nation.
