Sun Nov 24 03:20:00 UTC 2024: ## India Dominates Day 3 of Perth Test, Building Massive Lead Against Australia

**Perth, Australia:** India continued its strong performance on day three of the first Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test against Australia, establishing a commanding lead. At lunch, India reached 275/1 in their second innings, adding to their already substantial first-innings advantage of 321 runs. This gives India a total lead of 596 runs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was the star performer, smashing an unbeaten 141, following his overnight score of 172/0. He and KL Rahul, who scored 77 before being dismissed by Starc, put on a magnificent 201-run partnership for the first wicket. Jaiswal continued his impressive form after Rahul’s dismissal, partnering with Devdutt Padikkal (25*) who is currently at the crease with him. The duo added a further 74 runs for the second wicket.

With nine wickets remaining and two sessions of play still to go, India is well-positioned to set Australia a challenging target of over 400 runs, virtually securing victory in the Perth Test. The Australian bowling attack has struggled to contain Jaiswal’s aggressive batting. The match continues.
