**Jeddah, Saudi Arabia:** Mallika Sagar, a renowned art collector and consultant, will once again be the auctioneer for the IPL 2025 mega auction, scheduled for November 24th and 25th in Jeddah. This marks a significant moment for Sagar, who made history as the first woman of Indian origin to auctioneer an IPL event and the first Indian to conduct the Indian T20 League auction.

Sagar, based in Mumbai, specializes in modern and contemporary Indian art. She has auctioneering experience with Pandolfis, a prominent Mumbai art house, and is a partner at Art India Consultants. Beyond the art world, she’s established herself in sports auctions, having managed several Women’s Premier League auctions and serving as the auction manager for the 2021 Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) player auction. She began her career at Christie’s in 2001, where she became the first woman of Indian origin to work as an auctioneer.

Reports suggest Sagar’s net worth is approximately $15 million. She holds a degree in Art History from Bryn Mawr College in Philadelphia.

The IPL 2025 mega auction is a crucial event for the 10 IPL teams, allowing them to strengthen their squads for upcoming seasons. With 10 teams retaining 46 players, 204 slots remain open for the auction. The availability of several key players released by their teams is a major talking point, including prominent Indian and international cricketers like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Ishan Kishan, who are expected to spark intense bidding wars.
