**Chennai, India (Nov 24, 2024)** – The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will enter the IPL 2025 mega auction with a purse of ₹55 crore and one Right to Match (RTM) card. The team will look to fill 20 slots, including 7 overseas players.

Prior to the auction, CSK retained five players for a total of ₹65 crore. This included captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravindra Jadeja, both retained for ₹18 crore each. Other retentions were Matheesha Pathirana (₹13 crore) and Shivam Dube (₹12 crore). Remarkably, MS Dhoni was retained as an uncapped player for ₹4 crore.
