MUMBAI, INDIA – Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray secured victory in the Worli constituency in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, defeating his nearest rival, Milind Deora of the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) by a margin of 8,801 votes. Thackeray received 63,324 votes to Deora’s 54,523.
