Sat Nov 23 11:50:06 UTC 2024: ## Teen’s Body Found in Abandoned Building in Tiruvarur
**TIRUVARUR, November 23, 2024** – The body of a 19-year-old ITI graduate, K. Dheepan, was discovered in a decomposed state on Saturday inside an abandoned government building near the Collector’s Camp Office in Tiruvarur.
Police were alerted to a foul odor emanating from the building. Upon investigation, they found Dheepan’s body and transported it to the Government Medical College Hospital mortuary.
Dheepan, from B. Kilanoor in Kallakuruchi district, had traveled to Tiruvarur seeking employment. He last contacted his family on November 8th, informing them that he was returning home after an unsuccessful job search. When he failed to arrive, his family filed a missing person report with the Tiruvarur Taluk Police. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is underway.
