**TIRUMALA, Andhra Pradesh, November 23, 2024** – The Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Andhra Pradesh hosted a significant religious event on Saturday, attracting over 1,200 devotees. The event, a first-time occurrence in the state, featured the recitation of “Srimannarayaniyam Sahasra Galarchana,” a compilation of 1,036 verses traditionally recited in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The all-day event, organized by the Sri Mannarayana Bhakta Brindam under the auspices of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), also included the performance of various devotional hymns.
TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary praised the event, highlighting its contribution to mental fortitude and community harmony. The recitation, which lasted from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., is considered particularly significant in South Indian devotional practices.
