Dr. George Varghese, father-in-law of the late Major, expressed immense pride in the film’s portrayal of his son-in-law’s heroism and the enduring love story between Mukund and his wife, Indhu Rebecca Varghese.
“Amaran,” directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, depicts the couple’s romance and Mukund’s ultimate sacrifice during a terrorist encounter in Jammu and Kashmir in 2014. The film stars Sai Pallavi as Indhu and Sivakarthikeyan as Mukund. The actors reportedly contacted Dr. Varghese and his family prior to filming, showing respect for the family’s story.
