**Mumbai, [Date]** – The Maharashtra Assembly election results are in, and the Mahayuti alliance has secured a landslide victory, leaving the Maha Vikas Aghadi in a state of crushing defeat. Other parties also performed poorly.

Among the notable losses is that of AIMIM candidate Waris Pathan, who not only failed to win the Bhiwandi West constituency but also lost his security deposit. Pathan, who had earlier released a video of himself weeping and alleging unfair treatment during his campaign, finished a distant fifth.

According to the Election Commission website, after 22 rounds of counting, BJP’s Chaugule Mahesh Prabhakar secured a decisive win with 70,172 votes. Samajwadi Party’s Ajmi Riyaz came in second with 38,879 votes. The BJP candidate maintained a lead throughout the counting process. The independent candidate, Vilas Raghunath Patil, finished third, and Congress candidate Dayanand Motiram Churake came fourth.

Pathan’s poor showing is a significant setback for the AIMIM, and his emotional pre-election video has added a dramatic layer to his ultimately unsuccessful campaign.
