CHENNAI, INDIA (November 23, 2024) – A new restobar, The Neighborhood Bar, has opened its doors in T Nagar, Chennai, offering a unique blend of speakeasy ambiance and neighborhood hangout. Located in the basement of the Mango Hill Central hotel, the bar features plush seating, chandeliers, and a warmly lit atmosphere, accessed through a unique red telephone booth-style door.
The Neighborhood Bar’s menu features a creative selection of cocktails, including signature drinks like the Besant Breeze and the T Nagar Tingle Tequila (a tequila-based cocktail with ABC juice). Classic cocktails are also available at moderately priced rates. The food menu, however, presents a more adventurous selection, blending Indian and international flavors. While some dishes, such as the idiyappam with Thai green curry, received positive reviews, others, like the Naanza (a naan pizza hybrid), were less successful.
