**Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra:** Sanjay Shirsat of the Uddhav Thackeray faction of Shiv Sena has secured a resounding victory in the Western Assembly constituency elections, winning his fourth term. Shirsat defeated Raju Shinde, also of Shiv Sena (but from the Eknath Shinde faction). With the final count after 29 rounds, Shirsat secured 120,722 votes, achieving a significant lead of 15,824 votes over his opponent. His lead further solidified with postal ballots, where he gained an additional 131 votes. This victory marks a significant win for the Uddhav Thackeray faction of Shiv Sena in the region.
