Sat Nov 23 11:10:00 UTC 2024: ## Jonathan Majors and Ex-Girlfriend Settle Assault and Defamation Lawsuit

**New York, NY** – Actor Jonathan Majors and his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, have reached a settlement in the assault and defamation lawsuit she filed against him, bringing an end to a highly publicized legal battle. The case, filed in Manhattan federal court in March, was dismissed with prejudice on Thursday, according to a joint filing.

Jabbari’s lawsuit accused Majors of physical and verbal abuse, including assault, battery, defamation, and infliction of emotional distress, stemming from incidents during their relationship. Jabbari, a British dancer, alleged that Majors assaulted her during an altercation in a car and on the street, resulting in a fractured finger. Majors maintained that Jabbari was the aggressor.

In April, Majors was convicted of misdemeanor assault and harassment related to the same incident, receiving a year-long counseling program as punishment instead of jail time. The conviction led to his dismissal from Marvel Studios, where he was slated to play the central villain, Kang the Conqueror, in several upcoming projects.

While Jabbari’s attorney, Brittany Henderson, confirmed the settlement as “favorable” and expressed hope that Jabbari can move on, details of the agreement remain undisclosed. Representatives for Majors have not commented.

The settlement comes as Majors’ career is slowly rebuilding. His film “Magazine Dreams” recently secured a theatrical release after being initially shelved following his conviction. Earlier this month, Majors announced his engagement to actress Meagan Good. The pair’s relationship and recent engagement has attracted further media attention.
