**Hyderabad, November 23, 2024** – Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to prepare a comprehensive report detailing a plan to supply Hyderabad with water from the Kondapochamma and Mallannasagar reservoirs. The initiative aims to utilize 20 TMCft (thousand million cubic feet) of Godavari River water to meet the growing drinking water needs of the state capital.
The report, due shortly, will outline water availability, source locations, and the associated costs of transporting the water to Hyderabad. The Chief Minister, at a Saturday review meeting, urged officials to expedite the process, aiming to call tenders for the project by December 1st. He instructed them to collaborate closely with Mission Bhagiratha officials. Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Dana Kishore and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
