**Hyderabad, India** – Dulquer Salmaan’s Telugu film, “Lucky Baskhar,” directed by Venkatesh Maha, has emerged as a major box office success. Made on a budget of approximately ₹30 crore, the film has raked in over ₹111 crore (gross) worldwide. The film’s positive reviews, strategic pre-release premieres, and intriguing concept—centered around banking fraud—all contributed to its success. The opening day alone saw a gross collection of ₹12.70 crore.

The film’s narrative, focusing on a bank employee’s risky attempts to lift his family out of financial hardship, resonated with audiences. It cleverly blends elements of the banking system, stock market, and the mindset of the Indian middle class, offering a unique cinematic experience. The film’s storyline draws parallels with the 1992 Harshad Mehta scam, but from the perspective of a common employee caught in the whirlwind.

The positive reception has led to Netflix acquiring the digital streaming rights, with a planned release date of November 30th. While an official announcement is yet to come, the streaming platform is anticipated to confirm the date soon. This success marks Dulquer Salmaan’s third hit Telugu film, following “Mahanati” and “Sita Ramam,” and is also his first film to cross the ₹100 crore mark. The film’s success further highlights the trend of low-budget films achieving high box office returns in recent times.
