**Aurangabad, Maharashtra:** The BJP-led Maha Vikas Aghadi has secured a landslide victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, winning over 225 seats based on current vote counts. Initial tallies showed a tight race in Aurangabad East, with AIMIM candidate and former MP Imtiyaz Jaleel initially leading. However, BJP’s Atul Save ultimately secured the seat.
The opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi is trailing significantly, currently holding the lead in approximately 50 seats. BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis attributed the victory to the unity of the Maha Vikas Aghadi and the support of the people for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. He highlighted the success of Modi’s campaign slogan (“Ek hai to Saf hai”) and thanked party workers and volunteers for their tireless efforts.
Fadnavis also acknowledged the efforts of various religious organizations in countering what he termed as a “false narrative” spread by the opposition. He praised the grassroots efforts of party workers across the state.
