Sat Nov 23 11:50:00 UTC 2024: ## Bollywood Actor Ejaz Khan Loses Maharashtra Assembly Election with a Mere 146 Votes

**Mumbai, India** – The vote counting for the Maharashtra Assembly elections is underway, with the BJP-led alliance projected to retain power. While the Versova constituency race is close between Shiv Sena (UBT)’s Haroon Khan (leading with 61,958 votes) and BJP’s Bharati Lavekar (58,474 votes), the performance of one particular candidate has captured widespread attention.

Ejaz Khan, a former Bigg Boss contestant, actor, and self-proclaimed “Mumbai bhai,” contested the election on the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram) ticket. Despite boasting over 5.6 million Instagram followers and 4.1 million on Facebook, Khan received only 146 votes after 18 rounds of counting – significantly fewer than even the NOTA (None Of The Above) option, which garnered 1,216 votes. Turnout in Versova on November 20th was 51.2%.

Khan’s dismal performance is in stark contrast to his social media presence. He previously gained notoriety for forcing YouTuber CarryMinati to apologize on camera for a past roast. A video surfaced showing a seemingly apprehensive CarryMinati, masked and hatted, apologizing to Khan after being confronted.

The unexpectedly low vote count for a candidate with such a large online following has sparked considerable amusement and discussion online. The results highlight the significant gap between social media popularity and electoral success.
