**Chennai, November 22, 2024** – The Hindu newspaper hosted its inaugural AI Summit on November 21st, bringing together leading figures in technology, government, and academia to discuss the implications of artificial intelligence. The summit, titled “The Hindu AI Summit 2024,” focused on the opportunities and challenges presented by AI across various sectors.
The event, held in Chennai, was inaugurated by Kumar Jayant, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of IT & Digital Services, Government of Tamil Nadu, and concluded with a valedictory address by Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Minister for IT & Digital Services, Government of Tamil Nadu.
Key sessions addressed crucial topics such as AI-driven upskilling for students, preparing future innovators for the age of AI, and building robust cybersecurity defenses against emerging threats in the era of AI-powered data centers.
The summit boasted a diverse range of partners, including SRM Institute of Science & Technology (SRMIST) as the presenter, Sify as the power partner, and the Confederation of Indian Industry as the industry partner. Numerous other organizations participated, including RetailGPT, Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project, LatentView Analytics, Tamil Nadu Technology Hub (iTNT), Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, Chennai Metro Rail, Puthiya Thalaimurai TV, MiPhi Semiconductors Pvt.
