The hotel attributed the increase to “market conditions” driven by the high demand for rooms during the concert. Singh shared his experience on X (formerly Twitter), sparking outrage. The hotel offered a complimentary meal as compensation.
This isn’t an isolated incident. Another Ahmedabad hotel cancelled a pre-existing booking for Rs 1800, citing the Coldplay concert as the reason, anticipating a price increase to Rs 18,000.
