Fri Nov 22 07:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Noida Police Arrest Minor for Uncle’s Murder

**NOIDA:** A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for the stabbing murder of his 30-year-old uncle, Ajit Singh alias Jeetu, in Mangroli village, Noida. Police recovered the murder weapon, a knife, from the accused, a ninth-grade student.

The incident occurred on Sunday when Jeetu’s body was found with multiple stab wounds near his home. Initial investigations revealed that the accused, the son of Jeetu’s uncle, had an illicit relationship with Jeetu’s wife. A heated argument ensued after Jeetu intercepted a video call between his wife and the minor. The altercation escalated, leading to the accused stabbing Jeetu over 15 times. Jeetu subsequently died after hitting his head on a nearby barrier.

Police uncovered crucial evidence through WhatsApp chats between the accused and Jeetu’s wife, revealing their clandestine relationship and incriminating conversations. The accused had even attempted to hide the chats. He confessed to the murder, stating his desire to marry his aunt.

Adding to the deception, the accused spent the night after the murder pretending to search for Jeetu with his family, even going to the police station to file a complaint and staging a protest, accusing the police of negligence. He even showed police CCTV footage to support his fabricated story. Six others initially named in the FIR filed by Jeetu’s uncle have been exonerated.

Jeetu’s wife was initially unaware of the murder and was involved in the search for her husband. The police investigation has so far not found any involvement of Jeetu’s wife in the crime. Jeetu, who had become a father a month prior, worked as a tractor-trolley driver. His father was murdered seven years ago.

The accused has been presented before the Juvenile Justice Board. Despite appearing older than his actual age, documents confirm him to be approximately 15 and a half years old.
