Fri Nov 22 11:08:35 UTC 2024: ## Vivo Y300 5G Takes on Lava Agni 3 5G in Budget Smartphone Showdown

**New Delhi, India** – Vivo has launched its latest Y-series smartphone, the Vivo Y300 5G, in India, challenging the recently released Lava Agni 3 5G. Both phones aim for the sub-₹30,000 market, offering compelling features at competitive price points.

The Vivo Y300 5G boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1800 nits peak brightness, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. It features a dual rear camera setup (50MP main, 2MP bokeh), a 32MP front camera, and an 80W fast-charging 5000mAh battery. The 8GB+128GB variant is priced at ₹21,999, while the 8GB+256GB model costs ₹23,999. Vivo is offering an additional ₹1000 discount until November 30th with select bank cards. The phone is slim (7.79mm), light (190g), and IP64 rated for dust and water resistance.

The Lava Agni 3 5G, however, differentiates itself with a unique dual-display design, featuring a secondary 1.74-inch AMOLED display on the back. This secondary screen allows for various functionalities like selfies using the rear camera, call management, and notification replies. It’s powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, offers a slightly larger 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display (1200 nits peak brightness), and a triple rear camera system (50MP main, 8MP telephoto, 8MP ultrawide). The 5000mAh battery supports 66W fast charging. Pricing starts at ₹20,999 (without charger) for the 8GB+128GB variant, going up to ₹24,999 for the 8GB+256GB version.

While both phones run Android 14, Lava offers a more extensive software update policy (three Android version upgrades and four years of security updates) compared to Vivo’s unannounced policy. The Lava Agni 3 also boasts a more powerful processor and a more versatile camera system.

The choice ultimately depends on user priorities. The Vivo Y300 5G offers a lighter, sleeker design with faster charging, while the Lava Agni 3 provides a more innovative dual-screen experience, a superior processor, and a more comprehensive software update commitment. Lava’s unique features and aggressive pricing could make it a compelling alternative to the Vivo Y300 5G.
