NEW DELHI – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the commencement of registrations for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 session. Aspiring candidates can apply online through the official UGC NET website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, or directly via this link: https://ugcnetdec2024.ntaonline.in/site/login.
The application window opened on November 19, 2024, and will close on December 10, 2024. Candidates will have a two-day window, December 12-13, 2024, to make corrections to their applications. The exam itself is scheduled for January 1 to January 19, 2025.
The UGC NET exam determines eligibility for Assistant Professor positions and Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs) in Indian universities and colleges. It is a computer-based test (CBT). The June 2024 session faced disruptions due to leaked question papers, resulting in the exam being cancelled and rescheduled.
