Wed Nov 20 08:18:03 UTC 2024: ## NCP Leader Supriya Sule Denies Crypto Deal Allegations, Threatens Defamation Suit Against BJP

**Mumbai, India** – Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Supriya Sule has vehemently denied allegations of involvement in a cryptocurrency funding deal linked to the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. The accusations, leveled by BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi, allege a conspiracy involving Sule, Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole, a former police commissioner, and a dealer to manipulate election results in favor of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) opposition alliance.

Trivedi’s claims, fueled by a viral audio clip allegedly featuring Sule’s voice discussing Bitcoin transactions, have sparked a political firestorm. Sule categorically rejected the authenticity of the audio, calling it a “political conspiracy” and a “fake voice.” She asserted her strong stance against Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and expressed willingness to answer any questions from Trivedi publicly. She confirmed that she has issued a defamation notice to Trivedi and will pursue legal action against the BJP for what she termed a smear campaign aimed at damaging her reputation. She also stated that she had previously filed a complaint with the cyber crime department.

Sule maintains her innocence, emphasizing her commitment to transparency and readiness to face any scrutiny. She challenged Trivedi to a public debate, offering to answer his questions at a time and place of his choosing. She expressed confidence that the Maharashtra Police would not act on baseless accusations. The NCP leader characterized the allegations as a desperate attempt to spread misinformation and influence voters ahead of the elections.
