**KOCHI, INDIA (November 19, 2024)** – The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) will host its largest-ever National Maritime Search and Rescue Exercise (SAREX-24) in Kochi from November 28th to 29th, alongside the 22nd National Maritime Search and Rescue (NMSAR) Board meeting. The two-day event, themed “Enhancing SAR capabilities through regional collaboration,” will involve realistic simulations to improve search and rescue skills and foster collaboration among regional and international maritime stakeholders. Over 40 international observers from partner nations will participate, strengthening SAR linkages and showcasing India’s commitment to regional maritime safety and operational readiness.
