Wed Nov 20 07:13:55 UTC 2024: ## Grace Hopper Celebration India Returns to Bengaluru, Empowering Women and Non-Binary Technologists

**Bengaluru, November 20, 2024** – The Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI) 2024, a three-day tech festival celebrating and empowering women and non-binary technologists, kicked off today in Bengaluru after a five-year hiatus. Organized by AnitaB.org India, the event features immersive workshops, renowned speakers, and industry leaders offering career guidance and a platform to showcase talent.

This year’s GHCI, themed “me+we,” emphasizes the collective power of women and non-binary individuals in technology. The festival boasts 10 live stages, six deep learning tracks, an innovation showcase, and dedicated spaces for networking, relaxation, and artistic expression. A diverse range of sessions covers STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) fields, career development, leadership, and wellness, with a specific focus on the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ and non-binary voices.

The event, significantly larger than previous editions, has drawn participants from over 208 cities. The schedule includes a pre-Pride March, a conversation with actor Bhumi Pednekar, and a grand finale concert featuring Usha Uthup, Sushant Divgikar (Rani KoHEnur), and Carlton Braganza. The concert will not only showcase their musical talent but also highlight their personal journeys and advocacy for inclusivity.

Over 250 speakers, including Lalita Indrakanti (CEO of Jaguar India), Vidya Lakshman (Technology Director at Tesco), and Pankaj Rai (Aditya Birla Group), will address crucial topics such as diversity and inclusion. The tech tracks cover AI & ML, data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, IoT, and a dedicated media track on diversity in communication. The event aims to foster networking, create business opportunities, and build a more inclusive tech industry.

Shreya Krishnan, Managing Director of AnitaB.org India, emphasized the event’s significance in addressing the nuanced challenges of inclusion in India, particularly for LGBTQIA+ and non-binary individuals, and fostering a safe space for open dialogue and advocacy. The festival aims to empower attendees to invest in their personal and professional growth by providing a supportive community and shared experiences. GHCI 2024 will conclude on November 22nd at the Bangalore International Centre. For registration and further details, visit anitabindia.org.
