**NEW DELHI –** Delhi’s air quality saw a marginal improvement on Tuesday evening, dropping from “severe plus” levels to “severe,” according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). The Air Quality Index (AQI) reached a low of 444 around 9 pm, down from a near-500 reading earlier in the day. While offering some respite, the 24-hour average AQI remained at a concerning 460, a slight decrease from Monday’s 494, which was the second-worst air quality recorded since AQI tracking began in 2015. PM2.5 levels remained a primary concern, registering at 307 at 4 pm. Authorities continue to monitor the situation as Delhi grapples with its persistent air pollution crisis.
