**Chennai, November 19, 2024** – Baanhem Ventures, the creators of the Tamil Nadu-based startup reality TV show *Startup Thamizha*, has received a significant boost with a ₹3.3 crore investment from Mudhal Partners, the investment firm of entrepreneur Kumar Vembu. This latest funding brings the total investment commitment for the show to over ₹200 crore.

Launched in November 2023 by the Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (StartupTN), *Startup Thamizha* is the first reality show of its kind in the state. Previous investment commitments include ₹100 crore from Refex Group, ₹50 crore from Velumani of Thyrocare, ₹25 crore from Pontaq Investing, and ₹10 crore from Native Lead Angels.

Mr. Vembu commented on the burgeoning startup ecosystem in Tamil Nadu, highlighting the role of initiatives like Startup India and StartupTN in encouraging entrepreneurship among young people.
