**Hyderabad, November 19, 2024** – The Telangana government has transferred Parigi DSP Karunasagar, attaching him to the DGP office, following an attack on government officials in Lagacherla village on November 11th. The decision comes after an investigation into the incident revealed lapses in Karunasagar’s conduct. Authorities stated that he could have prevented the officials from leaving their tents and his absence during the attack is considered a significant failure. Former Circle Inspector Srinivas has replaced Karunasagar as DSP of Parigi.
The attack, which targeted district officials conducting a public hearing for a proposed pharmaceutical company, resulted in several arrests, including former BRS Kodangal MLA Patnam Narender Reddy and a local BRS youth wing leader. Vikarabad police have launched a comprehensive investigation, filing three initial cases and forming four special teams to probe what they believe was a pre-planned attack.
