**KOCHI, November 18, 2024** – The Ernakulam District Planning Committee (DPC) approved modified annual plan proposals for 2024-25 from 36 local bodies, just four months before the fiscal year ends. The committee expressed concern over slow progress on several projects and urged local bodies with less than 20% plan fund utilization to expedite implementation. Elected representatives highlighted delays in health sector projects due to bureaucratic hurdles in obtaining approvals from the Director of Health Services for additional development work. They also requested faster clearance for general purpose fund assistance.
