**New Delhi:** The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced it will not release a merit list or individual student rankings for the 2025 board exams, continuing a policy implemented in recent years to curb unhealthy competition. The board will also not award divisions or distinctions. Students will need a minimum of 33% in each subject and overall to pass.
The CBSE issued a strong warning against misinformation circulating on social media. The board specifically debunked rumors of a 15% syllabus reduction and the introduction of open-book exams for 2025, stating that no such changes are planned. The exam pattern remains unchanged.
The date sheet for the Class 10 and 12 board exams is expected to be released by the end of November. Based on previous years, exams are anticipated to begin around February 15, 2025, though the CBSE is yet to officially confirm this date.
