**CHENNAI, November 16, 2024** – A 58-year-old woman from T. Nagar, Chennai, succumbed to severe burns on Saturday, November 16th. Police reported that Aandal, residing on Dr. Nair Road with her husband, suffered the injuries on November 4th while lighting lamps at home. Her sari caught fire, resulting in extensive burns. Despite being rushed to a private hospital, she did not recover and passed away. The Pondy Bazaar police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
