Sat Nov 16 22:18:41 UTC 2024: ## Kapil Sharma’s Netflix Show Faces Legal Trouble for Allegedly Insulting Tagore’s Legacy

**Mumbai, India –** Comedian Kapil Sharma, known for his popular comedy shows, is once again embroiled in a legal controversy. A legal notice has been served to his Netflix show, “The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show,” accusing it of tarnishing the legacy of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and hurting cultural and religious sentiments.

The notice, issued on November 1st by Dr. Mandal, president of the (unnamed) organization, through his legal counsel Nripendra Krishna Roy, came to light 13 days later. It alleges that the show presented Tagore’s legacy in a disrespectful and disparaging manner and misrepresented cultural aspects.

Adding to the complexity, rumors circulated that Salman Khan’s production house, SKTV, which previously produced the show before its Netflix release, also received a legal notice. However, SKTV has issued a statement categorically denying any involvement with the Netflix version of “The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show,” clarifying that they are not associated with the current season.

The show, which premiered its second season on September 21st, is currently hosted and produced by Kapil Sharma himself. The legal battle adds another layer of controversy to the comedian’s already eventful career.
