**GAZA CITY, PALESTINE** – An Israeli airstrike on a UN-run school in Gaza City’s Shati refugee camp has resulted in the deaths of at least 10 Palestinians and injuries to at least 20 more, Palestinian medical officials reported Saturday. The Abu Assi school was sheltering Palestinians displaced from other parts of the besieged Gaza Strip.

Despite the ongoing offensive, Palestinian fighters demonstrated continued capacity to launch rockets, with two rockets fired from northern Gaza intercepted by Israeli defenses Saturday. The conflict, which began October 7, 2023, has resulted in the deaths of at least 43,799 Palestinians and the injury of 103,601, according to Palestinian figures. The Israeli military reported that the conflict has also caused significant casualties in Israel. This latest incident highlights the ongoing brutality and devastating human cost of the conflict.
