NEW DELHI, November 15, 2024 – Serious allegations of systemic religious discrimination and coercion against Hindu students, faculty, and staff at Jamia Millia Islamia University have been made by the NGO Call For Justice and reported by Zee News. The allegations include threats of violence, including rape and acid attacks, academic sabotage, and pressure to convert to Islam.
A six-member fact-finding committee, including a retired Delhi High Court judge and other prominent figures, investigated the claims. Their report reportedly details instances of Hindu students being failed in exams, facing pressure to recite the Kalma (Islamic declaration of faith), and being targeted in alleged “love jihad” schemes. The report also alleges the involvement of radical Muslim organizations on campus.
