Sun Nov 17 06:45:11 IST 2024: **DYFI Demands Probe into Telangana Teacher Recruitment Irregularities**

Hyderabad, November 14: The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) Telangana unit has demanded a thorough investigation into alleged irregularities in the recent recruitment of teachers in the state. State president Kota Ramesh and general secretary Anaganti Venkatesh addressed a press conference at the DYFI state office today, urging the government to take strict action against those responsible.

The government recently filled 11,062 teacher posts through the District Selection Committee (DSC) notification. However, the DYFI alleges irregularities in the selection process, citing concerns about the verification of certificates, particularly for candidates selected under the sports quota, where several alleged bogus applicants were found. Authorities have reportedly re-scheduled the verification process for the sports quota.

Further, the DYFI criticized the government’s delay in releasing results for some subjects in the Junior Lecturer recruitment process and the delay in issuing appointment orders to candidates who have completed certificate verification for Group-4 and Junior Lecturer posts. They expressed concern over the anxiety of candidates awaiting their appointment letters.

The DYFI has appealed to the state government to expedite the process, ensure that deserving candidates receive appointments, and address the irregularities promptly. Several state office bearers were present at the press conference.
