**Chennai, India** – The upcoming Netflix documentary on Nayanthara, titled “Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale,” is embroiled in controversy before its release. The documentary, slated for release on Nayanthara’s birthday, November 18th, reportedly sold for ₹80 crore. However, the inclusion of footage from Dhanush’s production, “Naanum Rowdydhaan,” has led to a legal dispute.
Dhanush, the producer of “Naanum Rowdydhaan,” has issued a legal notice to Nayanthara demanding ₹10 crore in compensation for the unauthorized use of a three-second clip from the film in the documentary’s trailer. He claims copyright infringement.
Nayanthara has countered, alleging that Dhanush’s actions are motivated by personal animosity. Her husband and director Vignesh Shivan initially responded by posting a video of Dhanush saying “Live and let live” on Instagram, along with the legal notice, expressing concern for naive fans. However, he has since removed the post. The reason for the removal is yet unclear. The documentary is expected to cover Nayanthara’s life, career and marriage to Vignesh Shivan.
