**CHENNAI, INDIA** – Acclaimed Tamil actress Nayanthara has publicly accused fellow actor and producer Dhanush of acting out of “vengeance” in a dispute over the use of footage from the 2015 film *Naanum Rowdy Dhaan* in her new Netflix documentary. In a scathing Instagram post on Saturday, Nayanthara detailed her frustration with Dhanush’s alleged refusal to grant permission for the use of a short song snippet, demanding a ₹10 crore (approximately $1.2 million USD) fee in return.

Nayanthara, whose husband Vignesh Shivan directed *Naanum Rowdy Dhaan*, described the film as “the most special and important film” in her career. She alleges that Dhanush, who produced the film under his Wunderbar Films banner, is harboring a personal grudge, stemming from the film’s success.
