**Mount Abu, Rajasthan:** A leopard’s brazen attack on a pet dog in the upscale Sunrise Valley area of Mount Abu has left residents on edge. CCTV footage captured the incident on Friday, showing the big cat leaping over a boundary wall into a house’s garden and viciously attacking a black Labrador Retriever.
The video shows the leopard seizing the dog by the neck, the dog struggling frantically before the leopard releases its grip and flees upon hearing a woman’s screams. The woman, identified as Mala Kumari, the owner of the paying guest accommodation, intervened, causing the leopard to retreat. The dog, though clearly shaken, returned to the house unharmed.
The incident highlights the growing concerns about human-wildlife conflict in the area, prompting calls for increased vigilance and preventative measures to protect both residents and wildlife. Authorities have yet to comment publicly on the incident.
