**London, November 15, 2024** – British Typhoon fighter jets were scrambled on Thursday to intercept a Russian Bear-F reconnaissance aircraft approaching UK airspace, the Ministry of Defence announced today. The aircraft, monitored by two Typhoons from RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland, remained over the North Sea and did not breach UK sovereign airspace. A Voyager refuelling aircraft provided support during the operation.
