**Los Angeles, CA** – Taron Egerton and Charlize Theron are set to lead the cast of Netflix’s new thriller, *Apex*, directed by Baltasar Kormákur. The film, penned by Jeremy Robbins, blends the suspense of *Free Solo* with the psychological thrills of *Silence of the Lambs*, following a rock climber hunted in the wilderness.

Theron will also produce alongside a powerhouse team including Dawn Olmstead, Beth Kono, and AJ Dix (via their newly launched media company), Kormákur (RVK productions), Ian Bryce, and Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and David Ready (Chernin Entertainment).

Egerton, known for his roles in the *Kingsman* films and the upcoming Netflix thriller *Carry On*, will be seen next in the Apple TV+ film *Firebug* and the indie thriller *She Rides Shotgun*. *Apex* marks another high-profile project for the rising star.
