**Mau, Uttar Pradesh:** A seemingly minor traffic accident escalated into a major clash in Ghosi, Mau district, Uttar Pradesh late Friday night, leaving several people injured and police vehicles damaged. The incident began when two motorcycles collided at an intersection.
According to police accounts, Sukhu Rajbhar, riding with his wife and child, brushed against Shoaib’s bike while making a turn without using his indicator. This led to a heated argument and a subsequent fight, resulting in both men sustaining stab wounds. Conflicting accounts emerged regarding the details of the altercation, with each party blaming the other for initiating the violence.
Following the stabbing, both Rajbhar and Shoaib were taken to a community health centre. However, the situation deteriorated rapidly as news of the incident spread. A large crowd gathered outside the hospital, resorting to stone-throwing. Two police officers were injured in the ensuing chaos, and several police vehicles were damaged. Police in riot gear eventually dispersed the crowd, though some roadblocks were briefly established.
