**Charsadda, Pakistan – November 14, 2024** – A suicide bomber detonated explosives prematurely on a deserted road in Charsadda district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan, Thursday afternoon. Police confirmed the bomber died in the explosion, but no other injuries were reported.
Police official Masood Khan stated that the intended target remains unclear and an investigation is underway to determine whether the explosives were attached to the bomber’s motorcycle or worn on his person. The area is known for its presence of insurgent groups, including the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), who frequently target Pakistani security forces. While separate from the Afghan Taliban, the TTP’s activities have reportedly increased since the Afghan Taliban’s takeover in 2021. Bomb disposal experts are assisting in the ongoing investigation.
