**Chennai, November 16, 2024** – Leading South Indian actress Nayanthara has publicly accused actor Dhanush of exploiting her and her husband Vignesh Shivan, in a bitter dispute over the rights to use footage from their film “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan” (2015) in a Netflix documentary about their relationship.
In an open letter shared on social media, Nayanthara alleges that Dhanush is demanding a substantial sum – reportedly ₹10 crore – for the use of just three seconds of footage from the film, which he produced. She further claims that Dhanush refused to allow the use of additional clips and behind-the-scenes footage from the film’s shoot, which she and Vignesh had personally recorded. This footage, she argues, is crucial to the documentary which chronicles their relationship that began during the filming of “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan.”
Nayanthara expresses her disappointment, suggesting that Dhanush’s actions stem from envy over the film’s success.
